Thankful Tuesday

I've been a little slack lately and not posted a 'Thankful Tuesday' in a little bit, but it doesn't mean that I'm the least bit unthankful...

* I am thankful for my wonderful family. Jalen is such an amazing little boy and I am so blessed to have him in my life. I couldn't imagine life without him. I took him to school again last week and he did great. He got sick on Wednesday (well, Tuesday night) and had to miss it Wednesday, so I was a little sad, but Friday went great. He's such a big boy. I can't believe I am planning a 4 year old birthday party. What!!?!
* I am thankful that I have one more week and then goodbye summer school.. You've been a tough one!
* I am thankful that after work I will be heading to the beach for the night. Yay! I am so ready.. Pray for the early travelers (Jessica and Lindsay) and the late-traveler (me!)!
* I am thankful for the weekend rain. Our yard is so dry and ugly that it isn't even funny, it needs to grow and look nice again!

I am very thankful and blessed to have all that I have in my life..

Baby Shower..

Jessica and I hosted Lindsay and Dwight's baby shower for Miss Brooklyn on Saturday. It was a great time. These were a few shots of us.. They got lots of great stuff and you can already tell that she is a spoiled rotten little girl, but hey, that is how it is supposed to be. Jalen and Ryan are ready to teach her how to get real dirty and get rid of all the prissy clothes that she has a million of.

Sleepy Heads

Izzy and Jalen are best friends and she sleeps with him all the time. She runs around and finds him when we come inside, if he's snuck away real quick. They're truly the meaning of the saying that dog is man's best friend.

We had lots of food from sausage dip and buffalo dip to cookies, chips, sandwiches to fruit and veggie trays to sandwiches to meatballs and little wieners in BBQ sauce! (and more...)

We created our own baby girl diaper cake out of diapers, ribbons, clips and pins!

This is the cake table with a clothes pin line made of ribbon and mini-clothes pins to hold the ultrasound pictures up that we had printed off their CD.

Jalen's Bike Ride

Last year for Jalen's birthday he got a Thomas bike from his Ki. He's been just playing around on it inside, but we took it out and he's a pro. He loves riding his bike, but he is lazy sometimes. He was tired when I took him out, but after one lap around the cul-d-sac he was ready to go inside and get a juice-box. He didn't wear the best shoes, either, but he had fun and loved it. I have a feeling it'll be his new favorite thing to take around the block on our walks.

Happy Birthday, America!

We had a great July 4. We cooked out and hung out. Then, we packed up and went and saw the fireworks. Jalen was so cute dressed in his Old Navy flag shirt and flip-flops. He's such a cutie. We're proud to live in America, that's for sure.
