Field Trip

Jalen had his first field trip last Friday. He went to Phillip's Farm in Cary, which has different activities for the kids (like duck races, bounce house, pedal cars, slide), a corn maze, and a hay ride. I went as a volunteer and Nick met us there on his lunch to see him. We walked around with him and another friend in his class. Jalen's biggest accomplishment that day was riding the bus for the first time. He was a little scared, but he did it and loved it. Mommy isn't ready for him to ride it every day, by any means! He ate lunch at the farm and everything. He had a great time and I was glad I was able to go and see him on his first field trip!

Kindergarten

Jalen has OFFICIALLY survived a week of Kindergarten. He went last Wednesday for what they call a "transition" day. It was a normal, full day though. Then, on Monday he went to his regular class and took off from there. He comes home every day exhausted. I am very proud of him though. He never once got too scared and was willing to try the early care program. He has a lot of fun. His favorite thing so far was going to PE and playing a tag game with different balls. I love hearing him describe his day and just hearing all the details. I do sit at work and wonder what he is doing and how he is. I will never stop worrying about him...
