My Baby Forever

Last night Nick and I were talking about how it is hard to get Jalen to go to sleep anymore. For nap time, I have started letting him watch Elmo with me until he passes out and for night time, I usually fall asleep first. He made the suggestion that maybe it is time to just give Jalen his milk and tell him to go to sleep. I told him no, I didn't want to do that. He just asked why. I said because then that means Jalen is going to be a big boy and not my little baby. He started laughing and told me he wasn't a baby anymore. It's hard to believe he is growing up and turning into a big boy, but you know, he will always be my little baby even when he is 35 and has a family of his own.


But, if anyone does find little pills to give them to make them stop growing, let me know and I will buy a whole pack! :)

There are days that I look around and I thank God for everything I have. Today I stumbled across this blog as I was blog-stalking and after watching the video, I was just sitting in tears. Take a look at this blog and watch the video..

He's a Big Boy Now!

I am proud to report that we no longer wear these on a daily basis except at night time...

because we now are a big boy and wear....

A little word to the wise who are trying to potty train their kids.. you can't force them to do it and it will just happen.

The other day Jalen told me he wanted to wear underwear. We had been trying it on and off, but I never made a big deal out of it because I truthfully, didn't want to clean up accidents! Well, the otherday he said it and I tried it. It was like he had been wearing them for years. He pees, poops, and everything in between now. He hasn't had any accidents in 2 days and is doing wonderful. I couldn't be a prouder Mommy! :)

Have no fear though, they make little disposable toliet seat covers for kids and we use those in public!

It's That Time of Year Again!

It's hard to believe it is almost Christmas time.. Over the past week or two we have been trying to finish up our Christmas shopping and settle down. I love Christmas. I love the excitement of going downstairs to see what Santa brought, seeing everyone's smiles when they open their gifts, and everyone just hanging out. Hope everyone has a safe holiday and a happy new year!

to appreciate what you have!

This time of year can be joyful and happy, but stressful and gloomy to some. We all are running around frantically trying to get last minute gifts, trying to cram for exams, wondering why the kids won't just cooperate for one day, and so on... but, the best thing about it all is that we have those worries! Thank God for another day, even if it is going to be stressful at times.

When things get tough, then that is when you have to believe even more!

Mr. Talkative

This week with Jalen has really amazed me. Over the past week, his vocabulary has grown to the point he suprises me with some of the things he says. Earlier in the week, he told me something was soft, which I had never heard him say on his own before. He truly amazes me on how quickly he picks up on things!! He is gearing up for Christmas. He has a Christmas movie with Elmo and has been watching it non-stop. I just finished wrapping up his gifts, so we can see how many times I have to re-wrap them before Christmas. :-) Hope everyone is doing well.
