Easter Cooking Class

Jalen had cooking class this morning and had a lot of fun. They made cheese fritters with eggs and cheese. They were actually really light and good. Jalen liked them, despite him saying how nasty they were going to be and he did not want to try. Then they dyed eggs. We will definitely be using their method again, rather than the kits. He said he wants to have a cooking class party this year. We will see!!

Monster Jam

Last night we went to Monster Jam and Jalen loved it. In the very beginning one flipped which was pretty neat, after realizing the driver was ok! He had a lot of fun and was worn out after.

School

Jalen has been doing very well in school and I couldn't be prouder of him for all the effort he puts in. He's willing to try anything new and is eager to learn. His spelling is coming along great and he loves math!! Math is definitely his strong subject. He enjoys taking picture walks through books and picked up his BOB books last night. He's not confident enough yet to read his other readers he has but he's doing well. He sounds out words and even brags when he can spell a new word. Last night he said he would re-do his assignment because he put Mom. I said it was ok! He said I really can do it again, I know how to spell Mommy. He's such a joy. I love looking at his assignments from school and they talk about mommy and daddy.

Two of my Favorites

Basketball

Jalen has been playing basketball and doing really well at it. He's improved greatly over last year. He still skips down the court but he's a little more aggressive and isn't afraid to go for the ball. His coach is really good this year. Jalen has earned numerous stars for his shirt and is very proud. He's number 11.

Snow

We got a little bit of snow the other day and Jalen loved it. He made a few snowballs with Daddy!

Valentines!

Jalen is writing out all of his valentines! He's very excited to give them all away and hopefully receive some. His are of course Star Wars this year. We had stickers that came with the cards but we've had to run out and grab a little something else to go with them because that's what all the kids are doing according to Jalen! Gotta love him. Takes his things seriously.
